monitoring and extendednwear Zio® Patch monitoring to evaluate heart rhythm abnormalities that may
not appear during a routine office visit or ECG.
Cardiac monitors continuously record your heart’s electrical activity while you go about your normal

The Zio® Patch is a small, discreet, singlenuse cardiac monitor worn comfortably on the chest for up to
14 days. It does not require wires and allows patients to continue most normal activities, including
showering. Extended monitoring increases the likelihood of capturing intermittent arrhythmias that may
not occur during shorter monitoring periods.

Traditional Holter monitoring records the heart’s electrical activity continuously for 24 to 48 hours. This
type of monitoring is commonly used when symptoms occur daily or when shortnterm rhythm
evaluation is clinically appropriate.
